This week I was able to visit the President Bill Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas and the state capitol. This was my second time visiting the museum and I highly recommend it. I’m trying to visit all presidential libraries and as many state capitols as I can. If you have children these are both affordable and educational destinations. When I visit a presidential library I try and read a related book. For this visit I chose Inside The Clinton White House: An Oral History by Russell L. Riley. The book is an interesting collection of interviews from high-ranking individuals in the Clinton Presidential campaign and White House. Clinton will forever be a fascinating figure; genius, affable, folksy, worldly, religious, master politician, and man of weak flesh.
Lewis Reed and Dirty St. Louis Politics
Followers of St. Louis politics will know this has been a big week. Three leading politicians have been indicated on federal bribery charges including President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed. I’ve long been a critic of Reed and Jeffrey Boyd, and their style of politics, and with them out of office hopefully the city can move forward and elect people interested in helping to create a brighter future for our city and not just lining their own pockets. Word on the street is more indictments are coming. A lot of St. Louis political folks are sleeping uneasy these days. It’s also important to remember that those being indicted are by and large those who’ve been supported by legacy media and the establishment. It should be noted that I opposed Reed in all of his mayoral campaigns, because I knew that our city couldn't afford handing over the reigns to someone that corrupt. These indictments, and those of Steve Stenger previously, are a vindication of the vision of Mayor Tishaura Jones.
Allison Fluke-Ekren: From Kansas to The Caliphate
One of the reasons I’m adamantly opposed to the looney idea of abolishing all prisons is the fact there are very bad people in this world and that as society we have the right to demand vengeance on behalf of victims. When one prioritizes the rights of the molester over that of the child, the rapist over that of the woman, the murderer over the life of the slain, and such they are defacto entering a conspiracy with the perpetrators to re victimize those harmed. Allison Fluke-Ekren is case that makes my blood boil. On behalf of her children, her slaves, and those victimized by her, at a minimum she should never get out of prison (and my preference for her is the death penalty).
I met Allison once and found her to be a typical eccentric white woman who embraced Islam, became a know it all, and culturally appropriated a mish-mash of “Muslim" cultures. I figured she was just the run of the mill weird convert and in a few years she’d be a Mormon or Communist or something she found more edgy and interesting. Turns out she radicalized her husband, left the US, joined ISIS, led an all-women battalion, and plotted terror attacks against American schools and shopping malls. Her story began in Kansas and included being a teacher at a Muslim school in Kansas City, Missouri. Among other things, her actions led to the death of some of her children. How many is unknown. I played a small role in getting one of her kids back to the US several years back. If Allison is only sentenced to twenty years in prison, I will consider it a travesty of justice and chalk it up either to gender-bias working in her favor, or she gave up a ton of valuable information. I’m posting this below from a friend's Instagram. She played a very valuable role in helping the kids (who she knew very well).
Devin Haney and Stephen Fulton
With Allison Fluke-Ekren and Nu Ha Mim Keller we see examples of religion turning people mad. Their lives, and definitely the lives of those around them, woudl’ve more than likely been better, had they not embraced Islam. Religion in the hands of people who aren't rational or balanced, despite their intelligence, can be a very destructive force. So, let's turn to some positive examples of conversion.past weekend there were two boxing main events on American television. On ESPN the American Devin Haney traveled to Australia to fight George Kambosos for the undisputed lightweight crown. Haney put on a master boxing class, working from behind his jab, and easily dominated the Greek-Aussie. Both Devin and has dad (Bill) are relatively new Muslims and they’re excited about the deen. Local Las Vegas Muslims have told me both can frequently be seen at the masjid. In the lead-up to the fight Kambosos trolled Haney and tried to get under his skin; but Haney kept his composure, behaved as a gentleman, and gave Allah the thanks for his victory.
Like many boxers out of Philadelphia in recent years such as Bernard Hopkins and Julian Williams, Stephen “Cool Boy" Fulton is a Muslim. On Saturday the rising star dominated Daniel Roman on Showtime. He is one to watch
Bill Clinton, KC to The Caliphate, & Muslim Boxers
You can check out the Reagan and Nixon presidential libraries if you ever make it out to SoCal. I live about 15 minutes away from the Nixon library. Salaams.
